When we frst started on this journey 73 issues ago, we decided that we were
going to upset the status quo. From the jump, we swore that we were not going
to be satisfed with putting just a decent basketball magazine out there - we
were going to disrupt the market. We were going to make the absolute best
basketball magazine in the world, or we were going to die trying.

More than 10 years later we're still here, and naturally, we are drawn to the
athletes, personalities and brands that share that same disruptive spirit.
For this issue we collaborated with Skullcandy, a valued partner that shares
those ideals and only aligns themselves with NBA athletes who do the same.
We created three different covers for this issue, each one featuring one of
Skullcandy's NBA endorsers – Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving.
More than halfway through this year's NBA journey, those three have each
made indelible marks on the season. Kevin Durant grows more dominant by
the day – is anyone more valuable to his team? James Harden has surprised
the entire League – did anyone think he'd make the leap that he has as "the
man" for the Rockets? And the dynamo that is Kyrie Irving – is there more of
a showstopping talent in all of basketball?
We celebrate each one of those players (and many others) in this issue. Hope
you enjoy reading it as much as we did putting it all together.
