Nice Kicks
While every store these days has a website, how many websites do you know have a store? Two years ago Nice Kicks founder Matt Halfhill decided it was time, and last February opened doors to their brick- and-mortar flagship. "Nice Kicks kept growing and growing in the digital space," says Halfhill, "but for me the most satisfying thing was to meet readers and fans of the site in person and chop it up about shoes. Te retail space was designed to be just that – a tangible, real-world extension of our brand where one could immerse themselves in sneakers." Designed with the theme of discovery in mind, customers unearth all sorts of hidden elements and messages throughout the shop each time they visit. Focusing primarily on footwear, with some apparel and accessories for good measure, Nice Kicks has become a must-visit destination for every sole searching celebrity and ballplayer in Austin. "We make sure that customers are treated fairly and respected no matter who they are, who they know or what they spend," adds Halfhill. "Of course we take care of those who take care of us, but we look at every visitor who steps through the door as a future friend of Nice Kicks."
