Basketball was the sport to
play while I was growing up
in Detroit, MI. Let me just say
I was good, but it wasn��t my
strongest talent. Art was.
Bringing art, urban culture,
and sports together has always been an interest of mine.
I am currently working on a
series that is in���uenced by
NBA moments, athletes, and
their big personalities.
My ���rst piece in the series
was the portrait of Kevin
Garnett. I am a huge fan of
his. One of my favorite parts
of being at a Celtics game is
when he pounds on his chest
and points to the fans before
tip of. The crowd goes wild
and you cannot deny that KG
lights up the arena with his
energy. It��s a great moment
that I just had to illustrate.
